Getting Started
Do I need to know how to code?
Not at all. The only setup step is creating a bot with Telegram's @BotFather — it takes about 60 seconds and requires no coding at all. After that everything is point-and-click in the dashboard.
How do I find my Telegram Chat ID?
After creating your bot with @BotFather, paste your bot token into the Chat ID Finder tool in the dashboard — it automatically finds your chat ID. Alternatively, message your bot on Telegram and click the finder tool.
How quickly does the bot start sending messages?
As soon as you save your config and deploy, the bot picks up within 60 seconds and starts running on your chosen schedule. You can also use the Test tab to send an instant message to confirm it's working.
Can I use my bot in a Telegram group or channel?
Yes! Add your bot to any group or channel as an admin and all modules work exactly the same. Great for keeping a whole community updated.
Modules & Features
How many modules can I enable?
Free accounts can enable up to 3 modules. Starter accounts get up to 8 modules. Pro and Business accounts have unlimited modules. You can mix and match any combination.
Do all modules require API keys?
No — the majority of modules work with no API key at all, including Crypto, Reddit, F1, Rocket Launches, Hacker News, Currency, Commodities, UFC, Golf and many more. A few modules like Weather and Stocks require a free API key from third party services.
Can I request a new module?
Absolutely — use the Request Module tab in the dashboard. Popular requests get built first. We typically ship new modules within 1-2 weeks of a request reaching enough votes.
How often are messages sent?
You choose the schedule for each module individually. Options include once daily, twice daily, every 6 hours, every 12 hours, or for alert-based modules like Uptime and Kick, checks happen every 30 seconds.
Billing & Plans
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade instantly from inside the dashboard. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your bot stops running at the end of your billing period. Your configuration is saved for 30 days so you can resubscribe and pick up exactly where you left off. After 30 days inactive configs are deleted.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Free plan is free forever with up to 3 modules. No credit card required to sign up. Upgrade only when you need more modules or premium features.
Is my payment information secure?
All payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Stripe is used by millions of businesses worldwide and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
Privacy & Security
Where are my API keys stored?
Your API keys are stored encrypted in our database and are only used to fetch data for your bot. We never log them, share them, or use them for any other purpose.
Can Notifications.Bot read my Telegram messages?
No. Your bot only sends outbound messages to your chat. Notifications.Bot does not read incoming messages, does not access your contacts, and has no visibility into your Telegram account.
